千と千尋の神隠しはトトロの続編？

「千と千尋の神隠し」は「となりのトトロ」の続編という都市伝説があります。

それは.....

｢となりのトトロ｣と｢千と千尋の神隠し｣は、同じ発想から派生した別々の物語のように感じる点があります。

２つの作品で一番解りやすい共通点といえば｢千と千尋の神隠し｣に登場する｢ススワタリ｣です。イガ栗のような形をした黒いお化けですが、｢となりのトトロ｣にも｢まっくろくろすけ｣という名前で登場しています。

ジブリ作品ではよくあるキャラクターの使い回し？のようにも思えますが、トトロに出てくるまっくろくろすけには手足がありません。

千と千尋のススワタリは「労働」の代償として湯婆婆が魔法で実体化させているのに対し、トトロの方は昔からこの森に住んでいるという違いがあります。

２つの作品とも木や森が重要な役割を果たしていて、そこから別の世界への扉が続いています。トトロがあの世とこの世を結ぶ死神であるなら、カオナシも人間の世界でもなく、湯屋がある世界でもない、また別の世界からやってきた謎の存在です。

そして、さつきがトトロとネコバスに乗っているシーンと、千尋がカオナシと海を走る電車に乗っているシーンと重なります。

劇場版のトトロでは原作を別の解釈で描き、本題であるはずの地獄巡りの冒険を描ききれなかったため、千と千尋では不思議な世界に迷い込むことから物語を描いたのではないか？という説です。

千尋が釜爺のところで釜の中に石炭を投げ入れたこと、それは単に石炭を釜の火の中に入れたことを意味するのではなくて、千尋自身の命を投げ入れたことを意味しているのかもしれません。

千と千尋の神隠しのラストでは、千尋はそこであったことを覚えてなく、千尋の成長物語としてストーリーが描かれてるように見えますが、これは『君が忘れていても僕は覚えているよ』というテーマから描かれているそうです。

Woah! I'm really enjoying the template/theme of this blog. It's simple, yet effective. A lot of times it's hard to get that "perfect balance" between superb usability and appearance. Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything. But think of if you added some great pictures or videos to give your posts more, "pop"! Your content is excellent but with pics and videos, this blog could undeniably be one of the greatest in its niche. Excellent blog!
