ラピュタのタイアップ商品があった。

1986年6月より味の素から清涼飲料水「ライトフルーツソーダ 天空の城ラピュタ」（2種類）が発売された。CMは、契約上アニメ映像を使用できないためパズーとシータの格好をした少年少女と実寸大のフラップターを使用した実写映像となっており、島本須美と松田洋治がナレーションを行い、CMソングとして
『もしも空を飛べたら』
作詞：松本隆、作曲：筒美京平、歌：小幡洋子（徳間ジャパン）
のイメージソングが使用された
